Happy National Child Day!

National Child day has been celebrated across Canada since 1993 to commemorate the United Nation’s adoption of two documents on children’s rights.  In 1991, Canada made a commitment to ensure that all children are treated with dignity and respect.  Celebrating National Child Day is about celebrating children as active participants in their own lives and in communities, as active citizens who can and should meaningfully contribute to decision-making.
